Winter Granola with Orange: Recipe Tips
To make sure your winter granola with orange turns out perfect, keep these tips in mind:
- Egg White for Clusters: Whisking egg white into the granola mixture helps create those satisfying crunchy clusters. Don’t skip this step! Also, if you want to have more clusters, feel free to add another egg white.
- Use Your Egg Yolk: Don’t waste the leftover egg yolk – use it to make a curd, custard, or a rich sauce for your pasta.
- Spread Evenly: Spread the granola mixture evenly on the baking tray to ensure it cooks uniformly and crisps up beautifully.
- Cool Completely: Let the granola cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container to maintain its crunch.
- Prepare Ahead: After you add your granola in an airtight container it can stay for a month.

- Dried Fruit Addition: Add raisins, cranberries, or chopped dried apricots to the granola after baking for extra sweetness.

- Fruit Toppings: Finish your granola by topping up with caramelized apples, pears, or even fresh berries.
- Spice It Up: Add nutmeg, cardamom, or ginger to the granola for a warm winter spice blend.
